Me & my family stopped here for lunch in route back home to Myrtle Beach SC, the food was excellent! Seasoned to perfection! Not greasy just right! The hostess & our waitress had excellent customer service! Love this place! will stop again! Our waitress was young with dark hair, pulled back, she gave us directions to a stream & she was right on! Just would like to say Thank you to her!!

You can tell this food is lovingly made from real stuff. The green beans were delicious, okra surprisingly good, and sweet potatoes were excellent. Real southern comfort food like Granny made, if your granny was a cooking queen.

Good food, good prices, good waitstaff, nice family atmosphere. Children's menu, senior menu. Very popular in Newport. But best overall salad bar IS at Ruby Tuesdays.

A long established family owned and run restaurant that is immaculately kept clean. The staff are home town and welcoming. There is a hot bar, soup bar, salad bar and a dip your own ice cream station. They also have a menu to order from and daily specials. The food is very tasty and the service is wonderful. A half mile off I-40 well worth a stop.

We eat here every time we come to Newport to visit family, and it's always wonderful! Very good food, and very friendly employees! Love it!

Lois's Country Kitchen is always charming and quaint with a lot of different choices on the menu. The buffet is hot, fast and easy to serve yourself from if you're in a hurry. They give you several choices of meats and vegetables plus a salad bar and ice cream bar and homemade desserts like banana pudding or cherry pie, Etc. Try-it when you're in town it's quite yummy

This place was great. The food was real good and fresh. They have a buffet with salad bar and dessert bar. I will be going back. I'm going to try some menu items.

Stopped here for lunch on our way home after the holidays and was not disappointed. Fast, friendly service and delicious, home cooked food. Highly recommend.

We went on a Sunday...just passing through...we almost stopped at a McDonald's 🙄...glad we didn't! They had a wonderful buffet, service & food was great! Plus the prices on the menu were very reasonable. Wish we had something like it at home! Definitely stopping again if we get back by!

I love Texas Roadhouse there food is so good number one for a steakhouse.Try them if you hadn't its really a nice place for a meal.

This is by far one of the best buffet my husband and I have eaten. The service is A1, the food is off the chain, the bathrooms are the most cleanest bathroom I have ever used in a restaurant, this is just an AWESOME, DELICIOUS place to go eat if you’re looking for a great southern food buffet with friendly down home service!!! 100 STARS!!!

Amazing food and a wonderful staff. It is a ways from the attractions but worth it. This place is the best place I ate at in Tennessee. Anyone who has the chance to visit should. Wonderful place.

We accidentally stumbled upon Lois's Country Kitchen and we're SO glad we did! We were on our way back to South Carolina from Pigeon Forge and waited to grab lunch until we were out of the touristy areas... we used GPS to find Cracker Barrel down the road (that was the closest option) and it was packed, so we decided to look around for something local... less than a mile down the road, we found Lois's Country Kitchen. The lunch buffet looked great, but we opted to order from the menu. We were pleasantly surprised at the options on the menu and the prices. My husband had the Surf and Turf and I had the Pan Fried Pork Chops and both were amazing! Not only was the food great, our waitress was wonderful, as well. We are looking forward to stopping at Lois's Country Kitchen on our way through Tennessee on our next visit!

This place is the absolute BEST buffet that I have ever had!! It has all home cooked foods on the buffet. All fresh and hot. This place is always busy so the food never sits and doesn't get cold or stale. New fresh food is constantly being brought out. There's a salad bar, soup, desserts, and 4 different ice cream flavors that you scoop your self and they have cones too!!!

Very nice seafood buffet on a Friday evening and even the frog legs were included. Apple cobbler and ice cream for dessert, also nice salad bar.

I’m from the South. I know good Southern food. This is amazing. The fried chicken is the best hands down I’ve ever had. Has no bone. Is all white meat and juicy full and flavor and tender. I’m from out of state and this will be a stop I take every time I come to TN.

Get the buffet! The food is southern comfort and so yummy I even muttered ‘Paula who?’The selection is broad including salad bar, soup and dessert. Don’t miss the biscuits and corn muffins. My hubby had the fried chicken and I enjoyed the corned beef with cabbage. Cheryl was our server and made us feel at home.

We are on vacation, saw their sign, we were hungry and....were we pleasantly surprised!! The food on the buffet was delicious, the service outstanding, and the prices really good! We will definitely be back to eat when we are back in this area. Honestly....we enjoyed this food more than when we ate at Paula Deen’s!

I didn't take pictures but I very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The biscuits and gravy reminded me why I like the south and the bacon was cooked to perfection. If you're in Newport, TN and need a place to eat this is where you should go. Attentive and friendly staff and great coffee!

Very good country style food. Buffet looked great was reasonably priced under $9 and included salad, soup and ice cream. Two of us had the hamburger steak with baked potato, bread and salad. Our teen had cheeseburger and hand cut fries and said they were very good. Also the restaurant and bathrooms were very clean.

Delicious homemade comfort food. Absolutely loved the sweet potatoes and rolls, delicious moist turkey, and amazing breaded boneless chicken. It was like Thanksgiving on a plate.

Love it, its been so long since I had a real country breakfast. And the portion amounts were perfect, meaning it was not too much food.

Stopped here on my way to Nashville with my wife, had the buffet and it was very tasty. Nice place for a good meal off of the fast food and mainstream restaurant beaten path. If you are around this area, good place to eat.

The food was amazing! We were looking for a home cooked meal and that is exactly what we found. All the food had flavor. The sweet potato casserole was amazing! The waitress was very helpful. They even recommended where the best places to go hike! Will definitely stop back in when we are in the area!

If you are a blue cheese lover you could hurt yourself here. Very good country food. The chicken is juicy. The soup is hearty. The Cabbage was my favorite of the vegetables. But the blue cheese y'all. It is so good, you can eat it with a spoon, or dip your crackers in it, whatever... however you transport it to your mouth, you will not be sorry.

This place has excellent, homemade food on a buffet setting, reasonable prices, and great service. I live over an hour away and have made several special trips just to eat here. They have never disappointed me and I always leave full and happy.

We stopped here 5 years ago and have been waiting to revisit as soon as we returned to the area for vacation. One of the best places to eat at when you are in the are. The whole staff is super friendly and make you feel like family. We will be back next time we visit again. Highly suggest eating here.

My wife fell and I fell in love with this place from the first time we visited this restaurant. Friendly people , good food and cost is affordable. My favorite time to visit is Friday night for a fantastic seafood buffet. Just know that when you visit , there may be a short. Well worth the wait in my opinion.

They have a nice selection on buffet. It is always clean. The service is always nice and friendly. Planning on going sunday. They have Turkey and dressing. The dressing is close to my mother in laws homemade.

I have been stuck in traffic for hours it was ready to eat my shirt the very next exit was Newport so I took it. Look online to see what they had to offer in this was recommended. So glad I found it the food was well priced the atmosphere was very family-friendly and it was very tasty. If you're ever in Newport I suggest you stop by there

The best french toast I've ever had! 10/10!!! Was driving through from Ohio and so happy to have stumbled upon this place!

We've lived here for 18 years and have never been to this restaurant. Decided to stop there to eat breakfast. Glad we did. I had the best tasting French toast and bacon. My husband had an omelette and biscuits and gravy. We both were pleased with our food and will definitely go back. The waitress was really nice.

This is hidden gem located just outside the Smoky Mountains. Authentic country cooking on a buffet bar or order from menu. If you leave hungry it's your own fault. Wonderful food and staff
